Event comments:

Great location BUT first year i give it F. Not enough volunteers for water stations, ran out of water, t shirts were a free for all not enough help to give them to you, no "finisher" hat - I will give them NICE MEDAL.

Lastly very dangerous guy pushing people off for swim start on top of other swimmers below.

During briefing they didnt even know yet how the swim start/finish was going to go.

Tough Challenging course - much tougher than IM Florida FULL!

Good job.  I agree with the 1st year problems.  It was a brutal day on the running course.

Congrats!!  I read bout the pushing people off for the swim start elsewhere.  What on earth did he think he was doing?

Couldn't agree more.  Tough run for sure.  Overall a fun race but planning appeared to have been done by a couple 2nd graders.  For example:
1) Bike check-in, transition opened 3 hours late
2) Racks not set up for a few hundred bikes until race morning.  Had to leave the bikes stacked against the fence overnight and the setup team racked the bikes overnight after they set up additional racks.  How they didn't know how many racks they needed in advance amazes me.  Race morning you had to go find your bike, which I didn't care for because they mis-racked a few bikes and people couldn't find theirs.
3) No gatorade or gels at Aid Station 1 on bike.  No water or anything at station 2.  No gatorade at station 3.  PITIFUL!!!  It's too damn hot to not plan that right.  And no bottle exchanges at station 3 either, you had to stop and refill your bike bottle from their paper cups
4) Pushing folks off into the water.  Just from a sheer liability standpoint that's a bad idea.

Things they got right:
1) After party / food was excellent.
2) Location was great
3) Swim course was outstanding.  Bike course was generally good.
4) Volunteers and staff were very friendly and helpful

Looking forward to doing it again next year.  I'm sure they'll fix some of the issues.

I'm with you on the F on their report card. but you did great despite the difficult run and the abnormal heat this itme of year.  Wish that cold front came here this weekend!
