Subject: Events in Florida in October 11 ?
Hi All from rainy UK !

I am planning a holiday to Florida next October, looking at the end of October and could roll into November and I would like to do an event out there at the same time.

I have considered a HIM but I think bringing my bike and a new baby (were looking at 6 months old in October) across the pond is going to be too much, so instead I am thinking about doing a half or full marathon instead.

Can you recommend any events for me to check out, I can be flexible on dates, the earliest we can fly out is 15th Oct and looking at a 2 week stay.

We can delay departure to go out and November would be no problem as we are fully flexible on that.

Depends where are you planning to spend your vacation on Florida ???

But...just in case...

Every year...there is the "Miami Beach Halloween Half Marathon"...Oct.31st....It's a very fun Event...!!!

We love tourists, no matter what the media says, lol.  Try this link and see what you can find.  Let the forum know where about you'll be staying. In the Tampa Bay area there's quite few bike hsops that rent race bikes(just in case).

Really depends on where you are going to be and if you traveling around, FL is a long state!

You can reference trifind for a lot of running (not all) and tri events.

The MiamiMan is always held the 2nd weekend in Nov, you can have you bike shipped to the "official" bike shop 5 min from the event and they'll also ship it back.

That Halloween HM linked above sounds like fun!

Well, the Florida Ironman will be happening in Panama City Beach ( panhandle). end of Oct / early November...
