Subject: Fitness goes fast
I was unable to train for about 10 weeks due to an illness and some family issues.  I decided the other day to get back in the gym for my first workout back..  My plan was to lift weights for about 30 min and then take a nice run on the treadmill (if a nice run on one is possible) for 20 min..

I felt a little weak on the weights but was able to finish strong.  But the run.. I was exausted by the end...  I cannot believe how fast running fitness goes away.  Granted, I was sick and perhaps still not 100 percent.  But I felt like I have never run before.  Prior to this, I was running 2-3 times a weeks from 30 min to an hours runs.

My legs are even a little soar today.. LOL.

Has anybody else experienced this level of frustration?

Unfortunately, 10 weeks isn't all that short of time, especially when your fitness going up to it was only 2-3 days per week and you had an ilness in that time.  The good news is that it won't take as long to rebuild the fitness as it did to build it in the first place.  Keep going and remember to keep it slow to start with.
