Subject: Strength Training
Hi - I just joined up for the Silver Package and am starting out with the Intermediate Sprint training program.  Why does the strength training exercises only focus on legs and back and not arm, shoulders or core detail?  Is this not needed for trainthlon training?  I'd like to tone up my arms during training - let me know your thoughts.

The strength training really reflects training that mimics or is used specifically in triathlons.  So back stuff, leg stuff.  Though some plans do have a core program.

If you are looking to 'tone up' the arms (triceps, biceps) you would want to follow exercises for that purpose (dips, pullups, dumbells)
