Comments: Very sunny, lovely morning. I was slow. But still had fun. Post race
Warm down: Enjoyed the post-race party, got LOTS of swag, then went to breakfast at a little French bakery near Madison Park. Event comments: This is a tradition and I love sharing with friends. Last updated: 2005-08-01 12:00 AM

Met up with two friends, Vinette and Tina
This race is absolutely awesome. Vinette and I have run it since the first one was held 11 years ago. It benefits the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research, which is named after Marsha Rivkin, the late wife of Swedish Medical Canter onocolgist Dr. Saul Rivkin. Marsha died of
overian cancer in 1993. The Rivkin family created this event in her memory and in recognition of the ongoing fight against the deadly disease. All funds raised through the Swedish SummeRun support the center's mission to save lives and reduce suffering through improved treatment, early detection
and prevention of ovarian cancer. Dr. Rivkin is EVERYWHERE on race day. And he talks with everyone. He is truly something else.
A little bit of jogging followed by some stretching.
