Pre-race routine:

Zone protein bar in car on way to race, sipped gatorade and then water prior to race. 2 GUs at 45 minutes prior and 2 at 15 minutes prior. Minimal stretching.

Comments:

5th mile was the toughest and I found my self walking briefly a few times. 1st two miles were probably too fast, I was running with a friend and at mile 4 he went ahead and I gutted out the last two miles. This was the first 10-K I have ever raced. I was shooting for 7:45 / mile pace and came in below that. I honestly thought 7:45 would be tough to obtain so I was happy with my time.
