Comments: What a difference a year makes! This race was my first half marathon last year and it kind of nice to see the changes of a years worth of training. I remember the mental battle that I was having with myself last year 5 miles into the run. This year was so much better. I knocked over 5 minutes off of last years race with a harder effort and felt so much better at the end. This was a race that I wasn't entirely sure if I was going to do after finishing B2B 3 weeks ago. I registered the week before. I was hoping to try and break 1:40 but didn't know how that would work. Needless to say I was very happy with my performance yesterday. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: Hung out and cheered some of my friends on at the finish line. What limited your ability to perform faster: Keep training. Last updated: 2009-12-12 12:00 AM

Up at about 5:30. Had my usual bagel thin with peanut butter. Got everything together and left the house at 7.
Went into the Y and used the bathroom one last time. Wish the folks who I trained in the No Boundaries beginner 5K program good luck on their race. Headed to the start line a little before 8 and had a hammer gel. Got in the starting line and waited for the cannon to go off.
