Classics by the Sea 10k Carlin Park, Jupiter. Cool and VERY windy day, 20mph WNW. wind all at back heading out, all in face heading in. Started WAAAYYYYYY too fast, heart rate jumped to 171 and I couldn't get it down until about a mile and a half in, and not really until the water station at the 2.5k mark. Then around the 2 mile mark my left foot started hurting. I haven't run since PB1/2 because of bad foot pain that developed a few hrs after the race, and didn't stop hurting until just Thursday. Probably shouldn't have run today, since prob not fully healled, but oh well :) Because of that I ran slower than I wanted to, but looking thru the list, my fastest 5mi+ time, so I'm happy with that. I did have enough gas left to pick up the pace a bit the last mile, and beat 60min to the 6 mile mark (thanks garmin), but didn't quite remember the .2 mi after the 6 to get under 60. Next 10k sub-1hr should be a breeze assuming i can get past these damn injuries.
