New Bike course has been posted!

What's up fellow GCTers? This will be my first trip to PCB. Anyone ridden the new bike course? Have any comments? What are crosswinds like? Too windy for discs? Too many questions...will stop there. Thanks for input veterans.

I am not racing it this year so I haven't paid attention to the course change.  Last years bike course was awesome in my opinion.  Most of the roads were very smooth and it is the fastest course I have ever ridden.  I wouldn't hesitate running a disc.  As a matter of fact I wouldn't either consider another option on that course.

Good luck all you BT'ers.  I hope you've all trained well.  It looks like the water temp. will be close wetsuit-wise.  The weather outlook for the weekend is awesome.

water temp 77 this morning....wetsuit or no wetsuit? I'm thinking wetsuit!

I'm thinking that after 5 more days of sunshine we'll have a water above 78 degrees depending on when and where it's measured on Saturday.  At 5am and 1000m out we might be good.   I'm okay either way.  I don't think we'll surpass 84 degrees though.

anyone doing practice swims Thurs/Fri? I've only gotten one ows practice in so far...

wish I had the weekend off, id be there!!

The car is packed.  Ready for an event filled weekend after a boring drive - no tickets, no accidents, no greasy fries, etc.  Be safe everyone and DON'T FORGET ANYTHING!

Kudos to the organizers and volunteers of the 29th annual Gulf Coast Triathlon.  Great Race!
