I've had both now and always go w/ the ankle.  Wrist just seems to always be in the way for some reason.  I don't even feel the ankle ID.

i bought one a few weeks back. did the sport band (has a watch style clasp) and I've been wearing it as a band just to wear but to also get me in the habit of wearing it when I need to. I've actually had comments on it that it looks nice with my business dress.

I just received my wrist ID a week ago.  I got it versus the ankle band, because I figured if it was ever needed, it would be more likely that someone would notice it on my wrist before noticing it on my ankle.  It fits well enough.

Ask a few of the EMTs around your area where they'd look for an ID of some sort. If you're anywhere near a military installation they'll look for Dog Tags out of habit. Medic Alert bracelets after that.

I have had a wrist braclett for a little over a year (my wife made me get one after I got hit while out riding the day before thanksgiving last year). It is second nature now, I wear it every day, while swimming, running all time. I don't notice it at all now.

I have a wrist one - I wear it on the wrist for running, but I put in my bike stem when riding. Peace of mind for my wife.

ankle.  I use it for my timing chip instead of the ones that you're given for the race.  Stays on nice and firm.

I used to use the wrist one.  Then I started thinking about all the times and places I could be injured and unconscious, with no one knowing how to reach my wife.  So I started wearing a dog-tag style, that I wear all the time, except for swimming (when I put on the wrist ID again).

If you are injured, most of the time, the EMT's or the hospital will look for a wrist or dog-tag ID, since that is where most medic-alerts go.

The road ID tag fits perfectly on the band of the Timex Ironman watches, so I never used the wrist band until I just started using a different watch.

Thanks...I remember thinking to myself a while back if I did get hurt if anyone would know to look on my ankle. I'm going with the wrist.

My husband got this one and after a few weeks the clasp would not stay closed.  Road ID was awesome and sent him a new kit but that didn't work either.  He ended up getting an ankle one which is what I have.  I recently made a change from black to blue to make it more noticeable.

I have two of the wrist syles. One nylon, one rubber. I can't say that I prefer one over the other.

I have the ankle one.  I like it.  I already have too much on my wrists, watch(es), athlete band, pace band, gloves, etc.....depending on what I'm doing.  Also, I tend to 'pick' at things when I get hot/tired and the stuff on my wrists gets attacked first...lol, so I'm better off with something on my ankle

Anyone use their Firely Supernova product? I've been looking for something like that, but everything I've seen just looks/feels cheap.

I have the Firefly Supernova, both a white light and a red light with the wrist band. I hardly use the wristband since I just hook the Supernova to my Road ID wristband, but I like how it's made. The lights are fairly bright and easy to use. I set both mine up to blink. Also if you buy the wristband, it comes with the belt hook attachment so you can switch the lights if you want.

Yep, I have a couple of the lights.  A red one and green one.  I like to clip them to the brim of my running hat.

<------If you look real close in my picture, you can see that I have one clipped to my hat.  That was in IMFL last year, I used the green one and kept it on (not blinking) to help light me up during those dark hours at the end.

I like to have them blink when I'm running at night during training runs.
