Subject: back to IM training after 2 months OFF I'm doing IMLP 2011, and have been very sick the past 2 months (cold/flu-related ) and could barely go for a 30 min walk in the cold without getting worse. I'm back to training, but know I have to build up slow in order to not get injured.
Is it a feasible thing to plan on doing the race? I know I have less than 6 months to train, and I've done IMs with less prep before. I'm just really concerned about a near complete non-existence of exercise, and getting injured in the process by increasing hours too much too fast.
Any advice? Has anyone trained for IMs in 6-10 hours a week? I know its been done, and some people have actually done really well in that little training time. Any support? Criticisms?
