I've used Speedo Vanquishers exclusively for years.  I always keep 3 pairs - 2 clear and 1 tinted.

Since they're a popular model, I doubt they will be discontinued any time soon, but I still keep extra, because I usually lose them before they wear out.

For ocean swims there is actually some wisdom to going without goggles. I learned this while doing a little club event with Emilio De Soto of De Soto Sports in San Diego.

Most people want some kind of goggle and my personal favorite are Aquasphere Kaimans. An buddy of mine, Andrew Kennedy, recommended them years ago at a swim camp in the Dutch Antilles. I've used them for pool swimming ever since.

Speedo Air Seal X2 for me.  I've tried the Kaimans and some of the TYR's, but I like the feel of the Speedos and the Kaimans leak when I use my Swimp3.

TYR Velocity Metallized. I just bought a case of six on clearance for 50% off. I'm set for the season.

I have been rocking the same lenses on my swedish goggles since 1989.  They are smoked/mirrored.
Not many scratches. I have changed out the nose and straps a bunch of times but otherwise they have been with me through most of high school, Div 1 swimming career, some masters, 3 trips across the Hudson river, 7 tris and counting and every training session therein.  I'd say they are durable.
I hope to wear them to train for my English Channel swim but its unlikely they are suggested for
the actual swim.

swimmer04 - 2011-02-18 8:58 PM My favorite by far are "sweeds" or the swedish goggles. I doubt many people even know what they are unless you are a swimmer   There is no padding just plastic and about as basic as you get. Best part is they cost $3 a pair!
I'd have to agree... although, I am a former Division 1 NCAA swimmer and they may not be good for everyone... they do take a few weeks to get used to if you've never worn them before.  I wouldn't use anything else.
