For only $20 more you can get the iPod Shuffle (holds approx. 240 songs) which is very solid...my fiance has an iPod Mini that rocks, too bad she would kill me if I took it biking. The software is easy to use and the sound coming from the little thing is incredible plus you get very comfy earphones.

I also like possum's mention of bluegrass. I love it, and I play it a lot along with old-time, but I don't usually listen to it for running.

I'm a bluegrass fan as well but I don't listen to it all that much. Usually a couple of times a year when we go catch the local bluegrass band.

I'm also up for some Indigo Girls every once and a while
