Adding New Date for Existing Race

Is there a way to add a new date for an existing race?  For example, the Baltimore 10 Miler is in the race directory but the date is for last year.  If I try to add it to my upcoming races it adds the date for last year.  I don't want to add a new race to the database but can't figure out how else to change the date.  I've had the problem before and had to get help from one of the admins.  Is there a way to for users to update this or do I always need to PM an admin?
