You can enter your race distance in meters for the swim, though you still need to convert to miles for the bike and run.

THEN assuming you have your log defaults configured to metric, all the conversion are done to metric when the plan is created and imported.  You will have CLEAN swim sets now...no weird decimals.  Bike and run will all be properly converted to KM's in your log.
