I was registered for the Chesbro Half Marathon but the trail section runs through an area administrated by the National Park Service and they deemed (on Thursday) that the trail was too muddy to run. The Great Race of Agoura made the Pacific Half Marathon (a road race) available for use to run. The weather was perfect: cloudy, in the low sixties, with very little wind. I had been training to break last year's time of 2:18 but about a month ago my Iliotibial band (ITB) flared-up and have been rehabbing on the bike and swimming. So for a month without any running a 2:36 finish is just fine. Official time 2:34:49 overall place 1335/1675 Men 674 and Division place (Men 55-59) 26/30

The Great Race of Agoura did a fantastic job of organizing a Half Marathon in two days when the National Park Service would not allow them to use trail they had planned on all year.
