Pre-race routine:

Swim day: yogurt,scrambled egg,coffee,captain crunch.Only managed 2hr sleep,not good-went 1.5hr early to pool showered,got in warmed up.
run/bike day:couple scrambled eggs,toast w/marg and honey,coffee,yogurt.
Event warmup:

Didn't do much warm-up. Road around the parking lot to get used to new speedplay pedals but did some standing squats to keep body warm, it helped but was it cold out there and then it rained ugh.

What would you do differently?:

get more freakin sleep! otherwise was happy with swim, I gave myself 13min to do it and that was accomplished, was hoping to shave more time off though, better luck next time. I was happy to see that in the Emmett race I did last year it was almost the same time but that was 500yds and this was 750 so that shows improvement,yey for me :)

The rain totally screwed up my ride, I really don't have enough road experience to begin with so the rain just really sucked. I think if it was dry I could have shaved a good 5 min off my time -went slow on downhills-slower than normal :) and forget about any kind of turn, very slow and sharp turns almost to a stop. So dissaointing really wanted to test my mettle after all the HOP training, oh well.
What would you do differently?:

pray harder that it doesn't rain :)

train on trails more.

eat pizza,bannanas,grapes and stretch while gabbing.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

the freakin rain ugh!!!! and perhaps the no sleep thing on thurs nite
