A few items...

1. I ran 2.3 miles with no pain.  I've been on the injured list since late Nov, so this is a big deal.

2. It's almost May, so spring will certainly be here in the next few weeks.  Trying to be positive!

3. My husband and I raced a sprint du today as a relay team and placed 2nd of 13 teams in nasty weather conditions.  This race starts the multi-sport season here in MN.

4. Only SIX weeks until summer break!

I ran a 5K yesterday and cut 5 min off my time from last year and came within 35 seconds of my goal of 30:00.  I also got to spend the who day with my husband which doesn't happen this year because our work schedules are opposite.  A coworker asked me to switch some time with her so I'll get another half day with my husband on Thursday and we'll get a chance to go swimming - which hasn't happened in a month. So I'm having a pretty good week.

American forces killed Osama bin Laden.

Oh, and I had a great 70mi bike ride on Saturday, and a fun 15mi run today, with 1700ft of climbing.

1. I ran my fastest mile in 8 years: don't ask, it is still embarassingly slow but an accomplishment none-the-less.

2. I shocked my Dr with my near perfect cholesterol  numbers. Of course, he didn't realize that I've never had a problem but I let me think I was putting effort into it.

That's about all I got,

And, oh yeah, it hasn't rained in Cincinnati for almost six whole hours.

My wife received a Mother's Day card in the mail from Afghanistan today from our son who is deployed.

That was this week's GOOD NEWS.
