First off I like to call it the Kapp City Half Tongue out.  Secondly I am not ready at all.  I've been lazy with my running, so this should be interesting!  Woo Hoo, running is my weakness.

I'm not ready either...I wasn't ready last year and got through it (by running/walking), but you would think that would inspire me to actually be ready this year.  Somehow Jan-April just slipped by without me noticing, so it will be interesting!  If nothing else I can walk it, and am hoping to do a consistent run/walk (actually would like to program my garmin 305 with a workout so it will tell me when to switch, but I haven't figured out all the features yet).

Basically I'm hoping it will be the kick in the butt I need to inspire me to start training for summer tris!  Running is my weakness, and my sister wants us to do the 1/2 Rev3 Cedar Point (in our hometown!) in 2012 - it will probably take me from now until then to be ready!

the winter months have a way of slipping by.

a run/walk plan is a great strategy for success.  many people wait to walk until after they can't run anymore which is just painful and disheartening.

First stand alone half did it in 1:52. My HIM run was 2:18 but I know the 2 are completely different. I think I can do much better.

finished in 2:03.  Was hoping for 2:00, but my legs gave out at the end and I walked most of the last mile.  Unfortunate, but at least it was a beautiful day.

that is not too far off pace - you had a very solid run! and this one will help the next one be better.

I survived (although it was painful) and managed to keep up my run/walk ratio throughout the whole thing...so considering the utter lack of training I did, that's as good as I could have hoped for!

Now on to summer tri training :-)
