I'm in.  I have a crazy goal of getting to 150 pounds by the end of the year.  And I'm up for any side-challenges you all want to throw out there.

I'm in and I need the support and encouragement. I voted for longer because I don't want to gain back what I lost in December...keep the pressure on.

I'd like to participate, I'm planning on running in a couple of 5k's and a 10k in the next few months so I'd like to keep up the running, and even though I plan on lightening my training load and including some different cross training (like the elliptical machine and perhaps some classes to change things up a bit), I'd still like to challenge myself!

okay, let's have our first weigh in the friday after labor day, with our last weigh in the friday after thanksgiving (i know, that's evil, but maybe it will help keep us all on track? otherwise, we could do wednesday weigh ins instead).

since most folks wanted two teams, i will try and put folks into groups this weekend. last time we were still all very supportive of one another, even though we were on different 'teams'. we will do one challenge going to turkey day, but for those who want to continue to new years, we will start a new one right away!

I'm in - I've been lurking and watching your posts and I'm in the same boat as everyone - stuck at the same weight and would like to lose about 20 pounds - my real problem is body image and I think that's at the root of my problems but it's always nice to attack something as a group - so I'm in!

I can't wait to get started! I got on the scale for the first time in a while...not good. I gained some weight this summer, clothes getting a little tight. Uh Oh!

If folks are interested, I am involved in another group of this type and keep a weekly chart of height, weight, and what we call stars - basically stars are what you give yourself for meeting your fitness goals regardless of what the scale does.  (Since all it takes is one salty meal the night before weigh in to throw things off....)  If you want to see it is at http://www.neversimple.com/extra_support_files/extrasupport.htm  - If people are interested in tracking progress like this (or even just height, starting weight, weight, # of workouts or some other metric) I am happy to maintain a chart like that.  It's nice to see the progress everyone is making....

Hey everybody, go post on the what day do we start. There are five options listed (I think). Hurry if you want a say in it! Either way a decision will be made on Sunday.
