Pre-race routine:

Had to leave super early for this one, loaded up Eolus, grabbed some shot bloks and water and actually got there pretty early, found transition, it was raining, but a beautiful drive, sun peaked out for a second, saw more or less the sun come up...
Event warmup:

Ran just over a mile, swam about 125 yards, had plenty of time before my start...

Great swim for me, really thought I pounded it, got passed by a really fast girl, but otherwise held my own, really killed it, still not that fast though, tired at the end

Train more, get a coach, and lose weight

Ok transition, it was cold as fuck outside, really hit me, hard getting into shows, and then onto the bike, slow for me

Killed the bike, didn't get passed at all, passed some fast as shit bikes, still was 8th, wonder if I had sweet wheels or was warmer how I could have done, winner was just under 4 minutes faster (beat them overall)

Felt really strong on the run, got passed by someone, but he was hauling, so no biggie, felt awesome, probably would have broke 22 if it was a true 5k

Warm down:

Didn't really warm down, super freezing, grabbe an amazing shower, like 45 minutes, it was incredible...

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Weight, equipment, mental effort on the run..

Event comments:

A good race, but overall not that awesome, maybe would have been better without the weather, everything seemed a little thrown together, except for the courses, those were great, but no awards afterward or results posted. A Mom n Pop C-level race...not a lot of elites out there...probably why I did so well...
