I want to talk about something. I am bored with sewing beads on my stupid formal dress for the cruise. I have no ideas for topics however.

Cruise? What kinda cruise?

My wife, sister, brother in-law and I are going on an eight day cruise in December. I can't recall the locations at this time but it should be fun. I hope they have a pool to swim laps in on that ship.

Mariner of the Seas in October. Also a day at Disney to appease the Oopma Loompas. I am in such dire need of a vacation it's not funny. This is our first in 4 years and then it was a three day cruise.

I am currently in the process of being a horrible mother and lying to my 6 year old son. He has a thing for Tigger, loves Pooh and thinks Eyeore is better than me. I am all good with that. He was the one born with challanges and seeing him delight in Pooh is wonderful. Well we told him we are having breakfast with Mickey on that Saturday and he says "Mom, can I have breakfast with Pooh?" Me: "No honey, Pooh does not have breakfast but we will see him, from far away". I am SUCH a liar! I had just booked breakfast at tha Crystal Palace that morning. I cannot wait to see his face when he realizes that he gets all you can eat (Steven is all about food), AND Pooh! He is going to flip! I just cannot wait. The eight year old is even keeping the secret and I can tell he just wants to bust with it.

Don't be harsh on yourself, you aren't lying, you're "Fibbing" and that's perfectly ok.

Right!  Isn't not "lying" when you talk about Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy or whatever else we do to entertain children.

My grandpa used to tell my mother (when she was a small girl) that all girls grew up to be men and all boys grew up to be women.  Now THAT'S twisted.

My husband reads too much Calvin and Hobbs. He tells the boys things like, "The wolrd used to be Black and White before someone colored it in". Things like that.

I was going to tell the boys the "truth" about Santa and did and now my oldest "pretends" Santa. So last year I made a HUGE deal out of "No Santa" and then on Christmas there was a Playstation that Gene and I SWORE we did not buy and the card read "Because you believe in me". The kids still tell me "See Mom, we TOLD you there was a Santa" the neighbor kids almost blew it a few weeks ago but their belief kept it real, probably for another year. Wild dogs could not get me to admit Gene bought that Playstation to them.
