The field is full again and I made sure to register back in December.  Who else is in?

I'm so jealous.  I love this race.  It was my first race ever....damn friends getting married and all; I won't make it this year.

I tried to register too late. But I'm in for the Black Fly Sprint and about to register for the Timberman Sprint.

Too bad, Eastman is a blast.  I'll be at Timberman sprint, so stay in touch and maybe we can meet there.  That's a fun race as well, but a very different feel since it's an Ironman brand event and it's HUGE.  Timberman feels like a big company summer outing, Eastman is more like a family BBQ.

I ride the Timberman course on weekends a lot, if you're ever in the area and want to ride it let me know.

Warren, Thanks for the response. Where do you live? I live in Pike and work in Orford, both both west central Grafton County. I am loosely involved with a tri group that swims in Mirror lake in Woodstock on Sunday afternoon but otherwise do all my training alone. I took the liberty of looking at your blog and see that we are in completely different leagues. I'm 63 and 230 lbs and just getting started with Triathlon, but I love it. Mostly I'm looking to break 2 hrs in sprint events. But if you ever want to get together let me know.  I look forward to meeting you at Timberman. Stay healthy, Ed Van Dorn

Ed, I live in Southern NH but we have a camp on one of the islands (Sleepers) on the south side of Lake Winny.

We're both triathletes so no worries on the "leagues".  If you'd like to ride the Timberman course we could still meet at Ellacoya and ride it - it's great to know a course ahead of time.  There's some hills and a long climb, so it's a pretty challenging sprint course.  The run is short (about 2.9), so maybe Timberman will be the one!  We're up there most weekends so any Sat or Sunday I could cruise by and ride it.  PM me if you have a real date you'd be up for doing that.

Was there a photo company there this year?  If so anyone know the site?

Didn't see anything about photos this year.  Usually we're inundated with the requests.  Email Charlie perhaps?

Charlie said no professional pictures were taken this year.  There was minimal interest last year and it didn't make sense.

I got this response from him

Paul,

We didn’t contract with a company this year, they changed their fee schedule and it was becoming way too expensive. We did have a volunteer taking pictures and noticed there are some of you. When things calm down a bit and I have some time I will attempt to cull them and send some your way.

I knew I saw some camera people out there, so I was wondering.  I have never bought a race photo from a triathlon, but I do like looking at them.  I understand cutting it out though for the race director when it becomes too great of a cost.
