My legs felt pretty good for just completing my first marathon the week before.

Event comments:

Won't be doing this one next year, that's for sure. Some runners got lost, not many markings, few water stations. Just not run all that well. Voiced my opinion to the director.

Muddy, flooded trails when they weren't advertised is not a welcome surprise.

Course: 2 big hills at the beginning of the course but flattened out after that. Course was part trail (not advertised) and quite muddy from all the rain that we've had with some flooding. Nearly pulled my groin in the woods and that's when I decided that it wasn't worth having to do two laps of this so I stuck with doing the half rather than the full. Was horribly marked and very misleading. I got lost and had to ask a driver to see if there were any runners ahead.
