I'm in!  This is probably the last race I'm doing before Redman in September, so I hope to use it as a tune-up (and perform well, of course!).

Course looks like it will be a good one!

Looking forward to the open-water swim.  I might need to put some moutain bike tires on my P2 for those  rough roads but thats okay.  It is a great event.

Im in ... Looking at the race maps, they changed the bike and run courses from last year. Last year the run went out of the park but this year it stays in the park and is 2 loops on the park trails

Bump ... race is this coming weekend! This was the first Olympic distance race I did last year so I am looking forward to going back and seeing how much I can knock off of last years time. Hoping for a 2:20-2:25 finish time.

STUD! Would you mind dragging me behind you?

the key phrase in that sentence is HOPING FOR! ... my runs have not been very good lately, so we shall see if I can get it together for race day

I'll be there helping out with some fellow North Texas Multisport volunteers - Body marking pre-race and manning aid station #2 at the Sprint/Olympic turnaround.  Say hello when you pass by!

Good luck to all!

Did packet PU today.  Pretty decent schwag!

They are moving the race start time to 6:30 to try to beat some of the heat.  I think i is a smart move but not really looking forward to getting up even earlier

Picking mine up this evening but did get an e-mail about the change in start times ... that just means I have to be up and out of the house 30 minutes earlier that morning!! :-(

Anyone have an idea on the swim distance? The Olympic and X-50 swim was the same course so either the X-50 was short or the Olympic was long, but I couldnt get anyone at the race to tell me which it was.

Also, does anyone know if they automatically add penalties to your time or do you manually add it to the total posted on the timing web site?

Second buoys were the Olympic. They removed the X-50 buoys.

The swim seemed really long to me.

Has anyone seen official results yet?  Do not see them posted anywhere

Had the same discussion with my friend re: the swim distance. His Garmin showed 1 mile exactly. So that would make the swim approx. 1609 meters. I think they took out the Olympic buoys and we swam the X-50.

Did he swim straight? Garmin readings should read high if the race distances are correct unless you hit all the angles perfectly.

I swam in a group that definitely over shot the distance because we veered far right after the green bouy.

I was there as a medic was a lot of fun to watch everyone, inspired me to get the bike back out instead of letting it sit this season.
