Swim
Comments: May have gone too hard on the swim, but effort felt good with the wetsuit on. Transition 1
Comments: A little slow getting started on the bike--people in front blocking while climbing onto their bikes. LOTS of people in this race. Bike
Transition 2
Comments: Couldn't have really done this one any faster--went well. Run
Comments: Really hurting on the run. Possibly went too hard on swim and bike, but also not used to 7.5k distance. Pacing was hard to dial in for this distance. What would you do differently?: Save a little more for the run? Train more base miles. Post race
Warm down: walking, stretching Event comments: Fun race, but it is a lot of logistical work--must rack bike the day before the race, and transition area is miles from packet pickup and expo, so you have to ride shuttles, etc. Also have to get up very early to make it to transition on time. Beautiful course, definitely worth doing at least once. Last updated: 2010-11-16 12:00 AM

Woke at 3:45 to get ready--had to take shuttle bus to transition, transition area closing at 5:55. Ate half a peanut butter sandwich and powerbar, with some G2 and water. 3 shot blocks and water about 15 min before race start.
Stretching. River not available for warm-up.
