Subject: Help,help, help with electrolyte/BP issue!! Please give me some idea of what to do! I had a dehydration episode last weekend which I talked about in another thread (water consumption ). I have actually felt much better this week (recovery week ) averaging 6-7 liters a day and adding 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of seasalt to the total amount, not to each liter.
I had a little low BP this week and a palm full of salt corrected that on Thurday. Yesterday my BP went up with a wrist cuff 170+/100+ flucuating wildly back to this am of 120+/70ish. I stopped the added salt to the drinks yesterday.
What do you guys thinks i should do with dehydration issue and BP issues with the added sodium?
I know I am obsessing a bit but we all do that with this sport, right?
