Swim
Comments: Started very near the end of the line for the time trial start. Felt like I was having a much better swim than I did for SpeedyFeet#2. But really only 16 seconds faster. Probably felt better because I was actually passing a few others and only 1 guy passed me in the water. I'm still a crappy swimmer, but I'm happy with the slight improvement. I felt very comfortable in the open water. Overall a nice final outdoor practice swim for Muncie 70.3 in a week or so. Transition 1
Comments: Long run from the water to transition included in T1. I wonder if the timing mats were in the same spot as last time. I think T1 times were down overall. It could mean that my swim included more of the run than it did last time. What would you do differently?: Not much. Just had the bike in too high a gear to start. Bike
Comments: Almost identical bike split this time around. Nice consistent moderate effort the whole ride. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 2
Comments: Smooth transition. Finally no problems racking the bike. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: Good run. Took a water bottle along. Water station at the start of each lap. Good consistent effort and negative splits. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Event comments: Second time at this race. 1:40 faster this time. A great time for $12. It's nice to break up the weekly routine. And a good way to judge progress since it's the same course each time. Hoping to make it again for race#4. Last updated: 2011-06-30 12:00 AM
