Come on people . . . a really well-run local tri (20 minutes north of the city at 5:30 a.m. on the Sunday).  Great warm-up 4 weeks out from Chicago.

Go for it!  I've done it for the last few years, and it's a nice little race.  I'm coming off of a stress fracture and have just started running again.  I was going to pass given that I'm just starting to get back into training consistently again, but I figured it would be a good way to get motivated and see where I'm at.

Glenview is a great little Sprint Tri. They swim is a little different being in a pool. The bike is flat and very fast, they practically shut down the Glen for us to ride. And the run only has one hill. It's a well run event, very organized, great people working the race, it's only $75 and is a great tune up for the Chicago Triathlon (4 weeks out). This was my first Tri ever and I simply love it! You could almost think of it as a great group work out.

This was my first triathlon several years ago.  I'd do it again if it wasn't on the same day as the muddy buddy.  Good race.
