What would you do differently?: body glide on back of neck, esp. right side (all right turns in course) to avoid irritation. ![]() Transition 1
What would you do differently?: More body glide to facilitate getting the wetsuit off my ankles! ![]() Bike
What would you do differently?: Train more on the bike I rode, practice being in the aero bars. ![]() Transition 2

What would you do differently?: Push a little harder, not get comfy in my position. Pass more. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Ice towels handed out at the finish were amazing. MGD light was pretty sweet, too. Event comments: A well-run race. Loved the numbered racks in the transition area. Made it stress-free to set up, and stress-free to find my bike after the swim. Only thing that could have been better would have been smoother roads, but there is nothing the race director can do about that, especially given that state and city funds for road repair are non-existent right now. Bread and peanut butter at 1am when I couldn't sleep. PBJ at 5:30.
None, stood on the beach. The swim entry was fenced all around, except for one spot where athletes entered with their waves. Seemed impossible to warm up in the water.
