Up at 5:00. Oatmeal at 5:30, left house at 6:00. Got to race at 7:00. Set up bike and got ready

Really biffed it coming out of the transition area. Had rubber bands on shoes, jumped on the bike and promptly knocked one of my shoes off. Had to dismount and go back for my shoe, lay down the bike, put it on and re-start.

Practice the transition more.

Thanks.  It was a really fun day.  With perfectly flat water and cool temps you couldn't ask for better weather.  On a normal July morning in Chelan it would have been at least 10 degrees warmer with additional radiant heat from the direct sun.
