If you're doing IMFL or even Augusta 70.3, here's a good century in Griffin. A neighbor of mine is helping to put the ride on. This one appears to have a little more elevation (2,005 feet of gain) than the Wilson 100, which is the following weekend, but this ride is MUCH easier than the GA 400 Century. A group of us did the GA 400 Century in 4:58, so this one should easily come in under 5 hours. Who wants some!?

Details here, http://bit.ly/pcuMx4  if interested.

If the link doesn't work, just search for Dog Days 100 on Active.

I've already registered for both the Dog Days 100 and Wilson 100.  That's 200 miles of riding not including any added (wrong turn) miles.  It's gonna be a hot one - can't wait!

I may pony up for both myself...If coach says its ok....We rode in the HEAT last weekend and it really changes things...If you arent prepared for it, you will find the temps can really change your pace...

unfortunately, it is the same day as the Peachtree Tri.  I am considering doing the Wilson 100.  Back in the day when I was just racing bikes, my team did it TTT style with 12 guys taking 1 minute pulls and we did it in 4:17!  I was nackered for days afterwards. Fun stuff.

Now I know where you knew me from Treadster. I hadn't checked BT since I posted the original thread about the DD100. Good meeting you. We shall ride again.

I'm doing the Wilson 100 next weekend.  This time I hope I won't 1) take a wrong turn (before a long up hill) 2) eject a water bottle (and, if I do, it can just stay there), and 3) break a brake cable.

I still had a good time.  I need all  the long rides I can get.  There's just no comparison between a 40 mile ride for example, and a 100 mile ride.
