Swim
Comments: My best open water swim, I went out very fast. I was gasping for air at the 200 m. point and had to settle myself down. Average HR 153. What would you do differently?: I might have gone out too fast, but maybe I just need to improve my conditioning. Gel about 20 minutes prior to race start. Transition 1
Comments: I made a mistake by having my chip over my wetsuit leg and it hung me up trying to get out. What would you do differently?: Use my ankle zippers, and keep the chip under the suit Bike
Comments: I think my muscular endurance is my weakest link right now. What would you do differently?: I had a good ride, but the first lap was tough on me. Transition 2
Comments: The only problem with this transition was the race volunteers were all shouting different directions. I didn't lose much time, but it was a distraction as I started my transition. Run
Comments: I wore my amphipod w. two bottles. It worked really well. I had one gel 25 minutes into the run. Post race
Warm down: Drank a bottle of endurox r4 recovery immediately after race. What limited your ability to perform faster: Conditioning. Event comments: This was a PR for me at the location and for OLY distance. I had my best swim, a solid bike and a solid run. Overall I am pleased with my effort.
