Is it safe to assume transition will not open untill Olympic is almost done?  Man it is going to be a long wait if so

That is not safe to assume. We are having an early awards ceremony (see schedule of events on website) and we are figuring out a way to open sprint transition early for sprinters to get their bikes without waiting until the oly is done.

Rookie question.

In my race packet, i got 3 numbers.  a bib number and 2 sticker numbers, like the ones that go on your helmet.  I did not get a number for the bike (ie one for the down tube) so do i put the 2 smaller stickers on my helmet front and back or side and side?  Or does one go on my helmet and one on the bike?  if so where?

One goes on your helmet and one is to be stuck on your seat post, or your top tube, or your fork on the left side of your bike as you're sitting on it. That's the only side visible to officials and sag as you're riding an all right turn loop. Easier than a wrap around number. This info is in the digital guide coming at you today. Sorry we're late on it.

We just received confirmation that they are cleaning up the last connecting strip of pavement on the elementary school side of Tuckerton. This will fully connect the stip. They cleared all the dirt off the underlying pavement yesterday and should pop the curb off today and clear out any junk. Then the street sweeper will clean it up for us to use. Thanks for your patience with this announcement. Race guide should be up tonight or tomorrow morning at latest.

If we picked up our packet early do we still have to attend the athlete briefing on Saturday at 4?

No but I'll be at one and my assistant race director will be at the other. A good chance to ask questions about the race and hear anything important that may not be in the guide. It's more about the course and what to expect at the race. If you read the entire guide there may be a few things we talk about not on it. OTher than that you should be good. A big topic will be the bike course, body marking, parking, and transition.

Am I reading this right?  Free Trek Carbon Bike usage for the Tri for the ladies?

That is awsome... if only I had a good wig.

I wonder how many people are going to see the picture of the bike with the race number on the right, but not read that the numbers should be on the left?

If you see bib 330 on the run please remind me I am almost done.  I hope I trained enough for the oly invitational wave to catch me.

I am faithful to my Dori but that sounds awesome!

Oh and I hate to break it to you Randy but it would take much more than a wig

Can't fix stupid - just have to hope people read. How many folks do you think we'll see with a sticker on the front and back of their helmet?

Oh and I will remind you if you remind me #1494.

Well, it was worth a shot.  Actually my wife got a Trek carbon road bike for tommorrow.  I was going to steal it from her, but it is a wee bit small for me. We will take it out for a spin in a bit and then take it to transition.

Now I'm trying to figure out if I can get off the course in under 3 hours tommorow or not.  I'm concerned my training isn't really sufficent.  I don't think I'll DNF, but I might DFL.

I hate waiting on the results.  Mine were not up before I left, and now I'm waiting impateintly so I can post my race report.

Of course, I know I wasn't first, or last, but I'd like to know where on the scale I ended up with my splits.

Hope everyone had a good race.

What did some of you have for bike distance on the bike? I do not wear my garmin during sprints, but it sure felt like I was going faster than 19.x. Good race and I am glade I changed to the sprint because it sure got windy and hot fast

I posted this on the OUM Facebook page and I'll throw it out to you fine folks too:

I left my pair of Zoot Ultra TT 4.0 (size 11.5) shoes next to the ice baths. They're bright red. Let me know if they turned up. I'd rather not have to spend $130 for another pair. Much appreciated!

*slaps forehead in stupidity*

I did the Oly and I think it was slightly short.  Which is the opposite of what you want to hear. Laughing

The calculation of speed was way off for Bridgeland at first.  Once we got the official distancces and ran the calculation by hand it made a lot more sense.

Hope you find your Zoot's.
