Any Clydes/Athenas doing Chicago Tri 2011?

I am! Driving down Friday, picking my buddy up from airport, partying all night, expo saturday, relax and race!

Yes. I did it last year as well. Its a very well run event. The expo is incredible.  See you there.

Not this year too close to my main race, but I've done it in 2008 and 2009 as an Athena. Crowded but great race. Nice to be in a race so large that there are different classes of clydes/Athenas!

This was to have been my first Oly but I just had to cancel. Hurt my foot in June and aggravated it badly this past weekend doing Naperville Tri. Doc says no more races and maybe surgery. Good luck to everyone running it!

I will be there!  This was supposed to be my first race but I got a little antsy and did two earlier this summer.

Great! I'm so excited. This is my "A" race of the year. DH and I signed up months ago and it seemed so far away, but now it's right around the corner. Good luck everyone!

The ChiTri will be my third triathlon overall but my first Olympic Tri. I'm getting really excited about it especially since the weather forecast is looking really nice.

I going to the expo and watch the race.  it will be fun.  I got injuried and decided against signing up.

How did everyone do? I had so much fun and had a great race. I was right on with my goal paces (but forgot to add in time for that long run to transition from the swim). That swim was brutal!! The bike was fantastic for me- averaged 20.3. The run felt awful, but I beat my goal pace and ran an average if 10:15 miles. That's really good for me. I finished in 3:05:26 with a PR of 23 minutes. I got first place in my Athena division which was a big surprise. It was a fun race and a great weekend. I'll definitely think about doing that one again.
