Comments:

Crowded at the start. Had my first drafting experience which I think helped a lot. Couldn't shake a girl to my right but I stayed on the inside of the course and rounded bouys good and had good sighting. Did not feel anxious. Didn't really think it was a full 500m. Best swim in a race yet.
What would you do differently?:

Keep swimming. It only improves me.

Comments:

Fun course. Had no idea we had to go over the intracoastal waterway so there was a bridge involved. Going out was great! Tailwind and I hauled butt. Coming back in I hit a wall especially climbing the bridge again. There was headwind at some points and then crosswinds as well. Gusts were every now and then. Disappointed in my bike time because I normally have a time anywhere from 8-10 minutes less than this one. I was not prepared for the wind and need to train more outside to feel all the elements. Fun route though.
What would you do differently?:

Train more outside now!!!
Transition 2

Comments:

2nd best run I have had in a race. Love the feeling of coming off the bike and starting the run. I keep short strides and try to emmulate the speed on the bike.
What would you do differently?:

Keep training to get faster.
Post race
Warm down:

Water, diet coke and breakfast buffet was provided. Ate with Gaven and chatted with a few others.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The bike course and weather.

Event comments:

Great race and hope to make it every year!
