Comments: 1st 300M was fast, rough. Left side breathing only due to chop. Was able to settle in and improve stroke efficency and breathing during last 1/3 of swim. Hard time siting with foggy goggles and bright sun. Overall, a little disappointing. What would you do differently?: Focus on consistently strong pace rather than sprint and endurance pace. Or train for the latter. Transition 1
Comments: Felt faster than it was. Better at getting wetsuit off. Smooth transition to bike and getting up to speed. Maybe should have skipped the wetsuit. What would you do differently?: Need to work on starting/ending with shoes already on the bike. Bike
Comments: great bike - kept solid pace with higher cadence than usual. Good job of pacing and maintaining HR. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 2
Comments: Was able to get out of one shoe but was too close to dismount line and had to run with 1 shoe on/off. Funny but awkward. Hesitated on taking GU with me which I never used. Forget it on short races. What would you do differently?: Get out of shoes earlier. Set up TA clearer to make sure I get everything. Run
Comments: pretty darn good run for me! Was able to keep breathing under control. No real oppotunities for drafting. Very exciting to get the lead bike on the way back. Made me super nervous and picked up the pace a bit. Loved it though! What would you do differently?: Calming, positive talk. Keep training those intervals! Post race
Warm down: not much What limited your ability to perform faster: disjointed swim - siting was sketchy and I felt slow. Bike picked up my confidence though. Last updated: 2011-09-12 12:00 AM
