  • 880 yards
  • 02m 16s / 100 yards
Comments:

UUGGGLLLYY!!!
I placed myself too much to the back of the pack. Until the first turn, I was just struggling to get past slower swimmers. I was unable to catch a draft and my navigation was poor
What would you do differently?:

Everything!

I can place myself more toward the front to middle of the pack.
Transition 1
  • 05m 13s
Comments:

The distance to transition was 8/10's of a painful mile.

Keep riding

Comments:

T2 includes a potty stop, so it is always long
Run

  • 4 miles
  • 10m 52s  min/mile
Comments:

I struggled on the hills
What would you do differently?:

Keep doing hill work
Add strength training during winter
Post race
Warm down:

Drank, ate, and walked around.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I was tired before, during, and after this race. It just wasn't my best, or even average, performance.

Event comments:

Great race. Lots of swag.

There was a fatality accident that held up traffic. The organizers delayed the start of the race for 20 minutes and added a wave for the late arrivals. I think that is great, it would have been so disappointing for the folks caught behind the accident to not be able to race.

Great race! Personally, I liked it a little better than Danskin and the course was a lot nicer. I wish the weather was warmer.

Great to see you after the race! Good job for battling through even though it wasn't your best. I'm glad I did it again this year. And thanks for fundraising!
