Swim
Comments: This was my second OWS so I felt comfortable. I did a warm up swim but race was delayed so my swim warm up was for nothing. Mad rush at swim start and a lot of getting hit and kicked (felt like a seal getting clubbed). Drank a lot of lake water and stomach was upset from the breakfast I had three hours earlier. Settled down and focused on swim form. Did a good job of sighting. What would you do differently?: Better warm up and not starting out too fast. I wanted to jump out to a lead since it was a sprint but I think everyone else had the same idea. Transition 1
Comments: First time in wet suit. Running and trying to take suit off at sametime. The PAM my wife sprayed on me helped. What would you do differently?: Practice more of taking suit off before race. Bike
Comments: Happy with Bike part of race. Road my $200 bike hard and fast. Passed some nice bikes and just smiled. Maybe next year I will have new bike. What would you do differently?: Not much. More riding before race. Need to get in the saddle more. Transition 2
Comments: No trouble. Grab Garmin watch. What would you do differently?: Not much. I always think I could have pushed myself harder. Run
Comments: Felt good, easy run. I alwasy feel I could have pushed more. What would you do differently?: Push the run harder. Post race
Warm down: walk and cool down Event comments: Someone took the swim markers so it delayed the race. Overall a good race and well ran. I would do race again next year. The race was great and would do it again next year. Last updated: 2011-10-05 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4:15 AM to get ready. Ate Peanut butter sandwich. Had the truck packed last night and me and the wife set out for the drive at 5:20 AM. It was a 15 minute drive to the park. It was dark and glad I had flashlight in truck. Set up transistion, get timing chip, marked and relax. Talked with wife and tried to relax for the race. I was wanting to do good and get off to good start.
Run and swim. Too dark to bike
