Swim
Comments: Did not zip properly before the race, water came filling in my suit I was dragging about 15 lbs of water on my back I could feel a wave moving inside my wetsuit, it slowed me down alot usually takes me around 30 min to do 1500m.Had to swim with more strenghth in order to finish in a suitable time. What would you do differently?: Buy myself a real wetsuit and have someone look at my back to be sure everything is in place before I start to swim. Transition 1
Comments: Went well , not too slow , a bit fed up with my swimming experience but I wanted to make it up on bike. What would you do differently?: nothing. Bike
Comments: Biking felt good , good pace, speed was fine but the wind made it tougher event though it was in my back pushing me at 42 km /h once I had it in front i was at 31 km/h. What would you do differently?: Push harder. Transition 2
Comments: Need something to eat real bad , lost alot of time looking for a gel or a chewy bar. Needed energy fast. What would you do differently?: Keep those chewy bars or gel handy. Run
Comments: Running seems to be ok , better than last year more felxibilty and better cardio, I thouht I would do better but my T2 was pretty bad and would affect my time alot. What would you do differently?: Try to run a bit faster , drink more fluids before the race. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Cold weather got my muscles stiffed and started my race with a bad swimming experience I probably let it get to me. Event comments: Next year I will do better. Last updated: 2005-01-16 12:00 AM

Breakfeast at 7:30 am , peanut butter toasts with bananas, 2 coffees , water, and some Cytomax . Stretching 20 min. countdown of all equipements.
Not much , stretched again 30 min. before race , got very cold before start , it was windy and raining.
