Run
Comments: I was surprised at how difficult it was for me to keep up at the 7 minute mile pace. I had only run once since the Lake Geneva Triathlon because my right calf has been hurting. However, I thought I would have been able to maintain better from my summer conditioning. What would you do differently?: I certainly would have done better with more conditioning leading up to the race, but I can't blame myself for not doing more since I was nursing an injury. I did swim and bike in the two weeks prior to the race but this race taught me how important it is to get in practice on each of triathlon's 3 sports. Interesting, how I seem to learn a little lesson out of each race I complete. Post race
Warm down: Stretched and rode my bike home. What limited your ability to perform faster: Calf injury Event comments: Nice flat course. It was kind of fun to be in such a small race where you could finish in such a high place. The start being 4 or 5 blocks from my house was great!! Last updated: 2005-09-27 12:00 AM
