Swim
Comments: Salt water is not good to drink. Our wave was to be the last, but they added another for the late people. I had some very agressive people passing me. I did manage to predict the current for the second bouy and was able to cut the corner tighter then anyone in my wave. That helped some.. What would you do differently?: I need to get behind someone and draft. More open water swimming will help. Transition 1
Comments: A long run in from the swim. It took longer to get a rock and gum off my foot before the bike. I had a bottle and towel to clean my feet, but it still took to long. What would you do differently?: No socks. Bike
Comments: Very tight course. Started out easy and had a difficult time picking up the pace. I did finish with my highest avg. speed ever. I know it seems slow but for me it is a great time. What would you do differently?: Push it harder on the bike. It would look so cool to have a speed avg. above 19. I had too much leg left for the run. Transition 2
Comments: No problems here. A little bit slow getting my shoes tied. T2 was my fastest T2 time yet, I am learning each race! What would you do differently?: Need to try speed laces. Run
Comments: A good run for me. I train at a 9 min mile so this was just right. The ending was unique dodging someone hurling in front of me. What would you do differently?: Pick up the pace a little bit more in the begining. My last mile was prob. in the low 8's high 7 range. I hate ending with the feeling that I could have pushed it more. Post race
Warm down: Walking arround and talking to fellow BT members. Bad post race food. Whats up with this crap they had.. Warm citro max and water. Come on at least buy some ice. What limited your ability to perform faster: Taking it lightly at the start of the run and bike. I left some on the table. The last month was a rough one for training so I did feel the lack of speed work, all I was able to do was base training. All in all it still was my best tri yet. Event comments: I will do this one again next year to see how I do and compare. It will be a good one to gauge my improvement or lack there of. Last updated: 2005-09-27 12:00 AM

Up at 4:45, ate light, bannana, etc. Drank 40 oz power aid. Set up trans area and waited 2 hours for the shuttle and the start. God I hate that part. I burn more energy at the wait then I do during the race.
Walking and light stretching.
