![]() Swim
Comments: Got REALLY tired after the swim. So tired in fact that I walked to the transition area. I think I had a bad latter 200m because my stroke was too short. What would you do differently?: Use tips from a friend who is a competitive swimmer. Elongate strokes, long axis twisting, keep arms arched, etc. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Way too slow because of the walk to the transition area. Officially recorded at 1:28 but the entire transition (walk from beach to get on bike) was 2:55...definitely needs to be improved upon. What would you do differently?: Run to transition area to save time, no matter how tired I am. ![]() Bike
Comments: Being on a mountain bike with knobby tires really took its toll here. What would you do differently?: Got me some racing slicks for the next event! ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Good transition, except for struggling with racking the bike for about 10 seconds. What would you do differently?: Focus on the present. Don't look around. ![]() Run
Comments: Good run. This is my strength and this is where I passed most of who I had the chance to. I've stepped up my run training so I can do even better next time. What would you do differently?: New shoes, more concentration, focus focus focus!!! ![]() Post race
Warm down: Walking, drinking, sitting down to breathe, stretch, and let my heart rate diminish. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of experience and nerves! Event comments: I had a good time, but I was so inexperienced that I didn't have enough time to get the things done that I needed. Next time will be better! Last updated: 2005-09-29 12:00 AM

Stretching, eat a banana, protein shake, and some Red Bull for energy. Went to visit the lake to see what the course looked like.
Got in the water and got used to it before starting.
