Comments: This was the first 5K I've run in 15 years (give or take). My goal was 8 min/mile (7:57 actual), so I hit my goal! Tried to keep my pace consistent, and I think I did a pretty good job of it. What would you do differently?: Not sure I could have gone any faster.  Post race
Warm down: Walk over to car and get camera to catch the others finishing. Jogged alone as my wife finished (YEA!!) What limited your ability to perform faster: Body Type Genetics Training Event comments: This was a nice race to help support our small zoo. Got up about 6. Ate a toasted PB&J and a banana and drank 2 cups of coffee.
Got the rest of the family up, and we drove a couple of miles to the race site. First race for most of them!
Jogged a few minutes and about 10 minutes of stretching. Try to keep my wife's nerves in check.
