Comments: I started out too fast - first mile in just under 9 min. WOW! But the rest went really well. I feel faster. Oh, this is so awesome! What would you do differently?: I shouldn't have eaten so much yogurt before the race (one cup, seems small enough). Work on speed. Post race
Warm down: Walk, walk, stretch. Eat a snickers marathon bar (race sponsor) and banana. What limited your ability to perform faster: Cold. I was so cold starting out. It probably would have been a good idea to use my inhaler, but I left it at home (don't usually need it.) Also need to work on flat surfaces more. Event comments: This event was so well organized. The renovated, new additions to downtown Albany are so nice. The race was a great way to see the progress. Westover High School's drum line was there - really helped keep me moving at the end. And they even had little booths, something I haven't seen at a race before now (I guess I'm just hitting the smaller ones). Last updated: 2005-10-05 12:00 AM
