Comments: Brrrr..... Very cold water and my first time in a wet suit. Went quite well however, felt quite strong throughout. Only a few breast strokes to aid in navigation. What would you do differently?: Pretty satisfied. Transition 1
Comments: A conservative transition. Took a few moments to gather my breath when I got to the bike. Suit a little clumsy to get off, but not too bad. What would you do differently?: Practice with the suit. Could have easily saved 30-45 seconds with a little practice. Bike
Comments: Overall a good ride. The lack of aerobars on a mainly flat, straight course limited my potential a bit. My riding is pretty good, but this is an area that can certainly improve with more intensive work. What would you do differently?: Install aerobars, emphasize cycling in my training for next season. Transition 2
Comments: Better transition. Nothing fancy, pretty clean getaway. Run
Comments: Pretty good run on a tough course. Started slow, but worked up speed consistently. Very strong push at end. What would you do differently?: Perhaps take an energy gel near the end of the bike leg, but overall a good effort. Post race
Warm down: Kibbitzed and ate What limited your ability to perform faster: More consistent training in my "weaker" disciplines. Even 2-3 minutes faster on the bike would have moved me up 2-3 positions in my age group. Event comments: First time event. Some hassles with parking and packet pickup, but another good job by set-upinc. Last updated: 2005-10-17 12:00 AM

Got to the race in plenty of time. Fairly long wait for packet pickup. Set up in Transition Area, took in one Clif Shot and bottle of Gatorade 1/2 hour prior to start.
Nothing.
