So - the Tri-U-Mah being my first tri ever, and knowing we have a 10 minute transition time...Should I change out of my swimsuit for the bike part? How does this work...Thanks!

With a 10 minute transition, I would think you could change.  Autumn?  I don't know what the physical layout is once you leave the pool area, so there may be travel time to consider.  Good question!

yes, you will have time to change. we actually had time to change and time left over to stretch, monkey with seat height, figure out pedals (they say spd compatable, but last year they did not seem to be), before the bike leg started.

here's how it worked last year. there is a locker room on the same level as the pool. bring a lock oif you want to lock up valuables. change into your suit there and then set up a transition area of sorts. i set out my bike/run clothes and shoes, a towel, and water bottle, but locked up my other stuff. there is a space to stretch next to the pool before your wave starts. after the swim, you go back to the locker room to change for the bike/run. last year i wore the same thing for those two events. you walk upstairs to the area and may have some time to stretch, adjust the bike for your height, etc. after the bike leg, there was another 10 min transition. kelly and i stood around and stretched, had some energy drink, etc. before the run started. we had time to kill, honestly. after that - time for a pat on the back and some chocolate!
