I fell and cracked my elbow. I can't bike or swim for awhile.  Hurts like heck.  I've gone running a couple of times.  Luckily, I don't have to have a cast. Doc says I need to try to move it around as I can tolerate in order insure the elbow doesn't fuse together. How scary would that be?

And in case anyone was wondering...nope, I didn't get this injury from training.  No nothing exciting.  I slipped and fell on  a wet floor.  How embarrassing.

My brother did the same thing to his elbow. I know it hurts a lot, but try to move it around as much as possible. My brother didn't and had problems (and still has problems) because of that.

Take it easy and don't feel bad about how it happened. Accidents happened. If it makes you feel better, I fractured my collarbone by slipping in the shower - apparantly, it's one of the most common ways to do it. So says my doc. Not sure if I believe her or if she was trying to make me feel better.

Forgot to add that a few years back I did break my LEFT elbow.  That incident left me with 2 pins and 6 months of PT. Yeow. I was so worried about my right elbow when I hit the floor.  My husband suspects that I did it on purpose, says that I would do anything to even out my swim stroke.  LOL!
