Good race, nice course. My wife was a little bummed they ran out of t-shirts in her size even though we signed up many weeks prior. They could have been more organized.

The volunteers also seemed clueless. When I asked a volunteer if there was a place to check our gear, the volunteer said there wasn't and then, literally, 30 or 40 feet away was a check-in station. weird...

I will run the race again, merely for the fact that I was to improve my time.

Performance:
Course: Very scenic, pretty course through the incredible grounds of Lisle's Morton Arboretum. It is called the "Fall Color 5K", but that is a little optomistic, it was early October and the colors are barely out; if the event was two or three weeks later, we can start talking about fall colors. It felt to me like the first half of the course was all uphill. It was druelling, but good. I didn't pass a lot of people, nor did a lot of people pass me...we all sort of stayed together. The last part of the course was a downhill swing and a lot of fun. Gravity and Momentum are on your side.
