Comments: Following tandem bikes is awesome when going downhill. Tandem bikes suck going up hill and getting up and going off a turn. What would you do differently?: Try harder when I felt I had the strength instead of holding back to conserve. I was just trying to make it to the end. The longest ride I had done pre race was 60 miles and I was exhausted on that ride + it was several months ago. Post race
Warm down: Got a massage and drank/ate a lot...it was all good. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not knowing if I was going to be able to make it to the end without bonking. Last updated: 2005-11-22 12:00 AM

A bunch of standing around for the race to start. Ron and I got there around 5:30am and were able to line up about half way in the Gold group. Luckily Ron brought some heat pads and those really helped take the bite off. Got to meet lots of people, and strangly the girl (Meg Leblanc) who started in front of me finished 1 second ahead of me in the race but I never saw her the entire time...that was weird.
